YSL Touche Eclat Le Teint is a luminous foundation with a realistic skin-like effect. It’s a vitamin E formula with SPF 22. But it doesn’t flashback in photos, it photographs quite well. The packaging is absolutely gorgeous, just like all the other YSL packaging. The heavy glass bottle comes with a pump. On the flip side, if you travel a lot it is not practical at all.
The shade range is pretty extensive. There’re 22 shades with three different undertones: golden undertone (BD Beige Dore), pink undertone (BR Beige Radiant), and neutral undertone (B Beige). The coverage level is light-to-medium. It evens out your skin without fully covering it and it doesn’t clog the pores. In terms of finish, it is a dewy finish foundation.
It’s such a pleasure to use YSL Touche Eclat foundation. It really gives you the feeling of luxury, it goes on so smoothly and beautifully and blends like a dream. It’s a densely pigmented product with a quite thick formula, so you’ll only need a tiny bit of it. Besides, it’s very moisturizing, and it gives a nice glow to your skin. Absolutely love this product.
Though it’s a heavily scented product. Make sure you like the scent before you buy it. Otherwise, it can give you a headache. Many people don’t like fragrance in their foundation, which is understandable. Perfume in your complexion products is not necessary at all and can irritate your skin. But I don’t mind scented foundations. I must say it is one of the best smelling products in my collection.
My skin type is normal to combination, and sometimes I have to use a setting powder to remove the shine from my T-zone. Though I don’t like using a setting powder on top of this foundation. I think it’s a shame to change such a beautiful finish. It will most likely work amazingly if you have skin that’s on the dry side. I wish I was on the dry side to enjoy the finish of this foundation to the fullest.
There is only one drawback to it. The staying power is not that great, it lasts only for a couple of hours, maybe 5 or 6 hours. But after all, it is all about the finish of this foundation. Unfortunately, YSL Beauty reformulated the Touche Eclat foundation. I have not tried the rebooted formula yet. I hope it didn’t change much.
